Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and RAS Studios ("we", "us") about using the Poppy Days app and website. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. If the two disagree, these terms apply where the law allows. If you're under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian.

1. Not medical advice, not birth control

Poppy Days shares general information about periods and growing up. It is not medical advice and cannot diagnose or treat anything. Estimated dates are worked out from what you log and are shown as ranges; bodies vary and estimates can be wrong. Poppy Days is not birth control and cannot tell you when pregnancy can or cannot happen. If something worries you, talk to a doctor, nurse or a trusted adult. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

2. Who can use Poppy Days

Anyone can use the learning features. If you're under 13, tracking switches on only after a parent or guardian links their device and gives their OK, and we ask that you use the app together with them. By linking as a grown-up and giving that OK, you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian.

3. Your information

You own what you put into Poppy Days. Our Privacy Policy explains how it is handled. You're responsible for keeping your device secure and for what you choose to share, export or send.

4. Family linking and encrypted sync

  • Link only with people you trust, and only in person.
  • With encrypted sync, your family's key exists only on your family's devices. If every device is lost or the app is deleted on all of them, the synced data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
  • Sync and notifications are provided as available. We don't guarantee delivery at any particular time, so don't rely on Poppy Days for emergencies.
  • We may limit or suspend sync for a device that abuses the service, for example by flooding it with requests.

5. Poppy Days Plus

  • Plus is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, through the App Store.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when an eligible free trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the paid period.
  • Free trials are available once per Apple Account per subscription group. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
  • Purchases can be shared through Apple Family Sharing. Sharing Plus never shares health information.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Free features stay free. We may change what Plus includes or its price in future; price changes for subscriptions follow Apple's rules and notices.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't use Poppy Days to monitor someone without their knowledge, pressure anyone into sharing, attempt to access another family's data, interfere with our servers, or copy or resell the app or its content.

7. Content

Lessons, tidbits and illustrations are provided for general information and are based on reputable public sources listed in the app. The app, its design, Poppy the character and its content belong to RAS Studios and are protected by law. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use.

8. Changes and availability

We may update the app, add or remove features, or change these terms. If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app or on this page before they apply. We may stop offering encrypted sync with reasonable notice, giving you time to switch to Nearby only sync; your on-device log is not affected.

9. Disclaimers and limits

Poppy Days is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties that it will be error-free or always available, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on estimates or information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

10. Ending

You can stop using Poppy Days at any time by deleting the app. Use Delete everything first if you used encrypted sync, so your device's data is removed from our server.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which RAS Studios is based, except where the law of your home country requires otherwise.
